The East-West Center community expresses its deepest sympathy over the loss of life and extensive damage caused by the recent floods and mudslides in Southeast Asia, which have impacted more than 8.7 million people in 61 of Thailand’s 77 provinces and parts of Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos. Our thoughts are with the EWC alumni in these areas, their families and friends, and all the people who have been affected by the floods.  We hope that the international community can rapidly aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts.
