EWC Senior Fellow on the perception of environmental risks among Pacific Islanders

This March 8, 2010 the online science magazine, EarthSky, published an interview with Dr. Finucane, in which she discusses the perception of environmental risks among Pacific Islanders.

Dr. Melissa L. Finucane’s current research interests focus on understanding judgment and decision making by citizens and policy makers about environmental and health risks such as climate change and avian influenza in the Asia-Pacific region.

She is a senior fellow at the East-West Center, working mainly with the Environmental Change, Vulnerability, and Governance group, and has published in numerous journals.
