EWC Volunteers Needed for Hawai’i Public Radio’s Fundraising Campaign

To All East-West Center Staff and Participants:

Once or twice each year, East-West Center staff and students volunteer to assist Hawaii Public Radio during their fundraising telethon. This year we’ve been asked to volunteer to staff the phones on Wednesday, April 14 (the first day of their spring fundraiser) from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in their studio on Kaheka Street (near Ala Moana Shopping Center and across from Don Quijote Store). If you’ve ever had the opportunity to participate in HPR’s telethon you already know that it’s a rewarding experience – a lot of camaraderie for a good cause. The added benefit of course is that the East-West Center receives plenty of on-air “drive time” recognition. Your participation will also allow us to mention EWC programs and upcoming activities, along with our year-long celebration of the Center’s 50th anniversary.

If you are able to join us or have any questions, please contact Floren Elman-Singh, EWC Public Information Specialist at 944-7193 or at elmanf@eastwestcenter.org by Friday, April 9.

We look forward to having you join us.

Aloha,

Karen Knudsen
Director, External Affairs
