East-West Center Day was celebrated on the 16th of May 2009 at Dolphin Restaurant, Myepadaytha Kyun. It was attended by the following alumni:

4. U Soe Win – ISI AGE 1963-67
5. Ms Colin Talbot – CAPE 1990

7. Dr Pa Pa Win Htin – HELP 2003, SUMMER SEMINAR 2006

Unfortunately some of the alumni were out of town. So the attendance was not big. Anyhow we managed to make East-West Center 49th birthday enjoyable with a birthday cake. Speeches were given by Daw Pwa Yin and U Than Oo. Booklets, awards, photographs were displayed. The good old days were remembered and to keep up EWC spirit. EWC birthday cake was sliced by U Than Oo after candle light was blew away. Korean Dim Sum breakfast was served. It was a happy moment and the alumni look forward for the EWC Golden Jubliee in 2010 July.
