I presented my Master’s research on cultural touring performances at the International Federation for Theatre Research Conference in Seoul, South Korea from July 14-19, 2008. Overall my experience was amazing and I met numerous theatre scholars from around the globe.

I was also invited to take part in the first Asian Theatre Working Group in the IFTR history and we are planning the first Asian Theatre textbook in the next five years. The Alumni grant allowed me to make this connection to other scholars while contributing to a future publication. My presentation was well received and a few prominent scholars came to hear me speak. I was listed in the program as both a PhD Candidate at UH-Manoa and a Degree Fellow at the East-West Center.
